    Our Pathways

The various routes to recovery can be generally divided into three primary categories: clinical pathways, non-clinical pathways, and self-management pathways. Each of these pathways presents distinct methods for recovery, offering a variety of options that can be customised to meet the specific needs and situations of each individual.

    1. Clinical Pathways: These encompass professional healthcare services, such as medication-assisted treatment, Nursing and GP services.
    2. Non-Clinical Pathways: This category includes community support, mutual support groups, Motivationsl Interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy.and faith-based programs.
    3. Self-Management Pathways: These involve practices like self-awareness, lifestyle changes, and sobriety support.

It is crucial to understand that these pathways can overlap. A person's recovery process might include elements from multiple pathways.

    What is Empowerment?

Empowerment is the level of choice, influence and control that a person can exercise over events in their lives. Empowerment involves having a sense of control over your own life. Rather than having minimal influence over your circumstances, you can:

    • Think independently
    • Utilise your personal experiences
    • Make decisions about what happens to you
